Alessa's Germany Experience, Day 43 - Sunset in France
Alessa finished reading "A Brave New World" this afternoon. She enjoyed it so much because she hasn't been up to reading a book in four years due to the pain of RSD/CRPS. Then she took a nice long nap. As good as she's doing, she has to be sure to rest and let her body recover. It's a long process.
She finally had enough of an appetite to eat two slices of pizza for dinner at our favorite pizza place in Saarbruecken called Pizza per Tutti. It was so nice for us to finally be able to take her there. To make the visit even better, she was able to get out of her wheelchair and sit in a regular chair!
After that, we took a ride to France. (Saarbruecken borders France. So, we didn't have to go far!) We took a nice ride through the countryside. It is so beautiful there. We stopped to enjoy the view. We got to see the most beautiful sunset. We never saw anything like it before. God has really blessed us so much during the six weeks that we've been here.

So glad to hear everything is going so well, and Alessa's had no return of RSD pain. That is the best news! It does take a lot of time to regain muscle once the atrophy has set in, but it does come back. We wish for you the recovery Tracy's had. She is back to teaching full-time now!!! Can't wait to meet you back home, and do you have any idea when that's planned? So nice, that you are having great weather in Germany, as we are here. Stay well, all of you! By the way, the Strike RSD! fundraiser at Bowlmor in NYC was last weekend, and went great! Read my update (hopefully, I'll get to write it today or tomorrow!).
