Alessa's Germany Experience, Day 35 - A Lot Accomplished

We enjoyed Alessa's company at the breakfast buffet this morning. She still doesn't have an appetite, but she had some scrambled egg and juice with a little piece of danish. She's able to roll herself around in her wheelchair and help herself to the food. Little things like this is easy to take for granted, but this is all an accomplishment for Alessa.

The day only got better! We took Alessa out for a nice wheelchair ride in the German-French Gardens. We spent about two hours strolling along and enjoying the trees, the flowers, the ducks and the geese.

When we came back inside, Alessa decided she wanted to practice walking up and down the hallway outside our rooms. She started out walking with me, but I got so nervous that Steve had to take over. She walked up and down the hallway with Steve four times. He didn't even need to hold her. She just held onto his arm. She's already improved a lot since getting out of the hospital last Friday.

Alessa really accomplished a lot today!
