Alessa's Germany Experience, Day 32 - Recuperation
Dr. Rohr said that Alessa needs time to recuperate before heading home to Philadelphia. She's been through a lot and what she needs now is time to rest and recover.
She was able to come down to the hotel breakfast buffet this morning. However, she has no appetite, which is a side effect of the ketamine. She ate a little piece of a danish and drank a glass of orange juice. That was all she could manage.
She spent the rest of the day resting in her room and catching up with friends via the internet.
Her hotel room on the fourth floor is just right for resting and recuperating. It's bright and cheerful with a terrific view of the German-French Gardens below. There are two glass doors that open inward. Alessa can feel like she's outside while being in her room. She can hear the birds chirping as well as the sounds of people outside enjoying all that the Gardens have to offer.
There's a lake with paddle boats as well as geese and ducks. A mini-train, a sky ride and miniature golf set amidst the trees can also be seen from Alessa's room. There are many different walking paths that take you through the most beautiful flower gardens. Today the tulips and daffodils are in full bloom. The view is breathtaking.
We look forward to Alessa feeling well enough to go outside. In the meantime, she can rest in her room in peace and serenity with a little bit of heaven right outside her windows.
