Alessa's Germany Experience, Day 14 - Status

Alessa is doing well in the coma. She's swollen from all the liquids that she's receiving intravenously, but that's to be expected.

A lubricant is placed in her eyes, as needed, to keep them from drying out. Her eyes are slightly open, which was disconcerting at first. I checked with a nurse. She said this happens to some people and that it's fine.

A moisturizing cream is placed on her lips to keep them from cracking.

The nursing staff's attention to detail is wonderful. We're very pleased.

  • Terry and Steve,
Please know that Tom, our girls, and I are praying for you and Alessa every day. Please continue to be strong. She will be out of the coma soon, and your loving faces will be what she sees. We are praying that with God's grace, Alessa will wake up to a life without pain.

  • Terry and Steve,
Take strength in knowing the prayers and good wishes of so many, many friends, relatives, and viewers of this site are flowing across the ocean for the three of you. May our prayers, joined with so many others, to Our Heavenly Father, Son and Holy Spirit strengthen Alessa. May God continue to keep each of you in His Loving Care. May it be His Will that Alessa wake up pain free; renew her life; and be a witness to the power of loving prayer. As always, In Jesus' Name we pray.

  • Alessa,
Our family is thrilled that you are finally in a place and state of healing. Our prayers and hopes for freedom from the hold RSD has had over your body and spirit are now being answered. As you awake from your coma may God's grace continue to shine down on you and your family bringing a new life without pain.

    Love always,
    Alexis, Dave and Christine
